AREHCC
(Advanced Research in Elliptic and Hyper elliptic Curves Cryptography) is a 2-year research project in the field of Public-Key Cryptography funded by the European Commission (Fifth Framework Program IST - 2001). AREHCC has been launched on
December 2001.
AREHCC
is composed of:
-
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium
-
Everbee Networks, France
-
Oberthur Card Systems SA, France
-
Philips Semiconductors GmbH, the Coordinator, Germany
-
Universitat Bremen, ITEM, Germany
-
Universitat Essen, Institut fuer Experimentelle Mathematik, Germany
-
Universite of Bordeaux I, Laboratoire A2X, France
AREHCC
intends to:
- Explore advanced elliptic-curve and hyper-elliptic curve cryptographic technologies.
- Examine ways of implementing elliptic and hyper elliptic-curve cryptosystems in order to achieve improved performance in software, embedded systems such as smart cards, server platforms and network processors.
- Promote the deployment of elliptic curve and hyper-elliptic curve cryptographic systems.
